6 Little Birdies

Birds are definitely on my mind.  I saw these great papier mache birds in Cloth Paper Scissors magazine and thought I would give it a go.  The magazine recommended a product called Celluclay. 




Here in Australia - I found a product called Mix-it (by Educational Colours P/L) at Dymocks Stationary store in the Sydney city - on sale - 25% off of $14.99 - bargain!!

I followed the instructions - pretty easy and let the stuff dry - because it has been quite cool here - it took approx 4 days (the instructions said 1-2 days to air dry).  After they dried, I covered them with tissue paper and the beaks & wings are ripped from an old book I had.



I attached them to my book/craft shelf - one for each member of the family!  Fun!
